The intricacies of phosphatidylserine (PS) are explained in a new website for the food and health industry launched by Degussa BioActives , the nutritional ingredient business unit of Degussa. The online tool aims to provide comprehensive information on the scientific validation and advancement of phosphatidylserine (PS), and Degussa's PS brand, Leci-PS. "We have designed the new website to be a destination site for the companion dietary supplement and functional food market sectors," said Wolfgang Schütt, vice-president of marketing and sales. Information available on the site includes an explanation of the chemistry and biological functions of PS, applications of Leci-PS, a presentation of the 25 most frequently asked questions about phosphatidyl serine, phospholipids, and Leci-PS, and technical data sheets. "As the nutrition industry continues to expand with new research and new products, it becomes imperative to offer manufacturers, retailers and consumers a comprehensive and cogent educational tool," concludes Schütt.
