Organic sweetener from Cerestar

French starch company Cerestar, recently taken over by US agribusiness giant Cargill, has launched a range of new organic sweeteners that target the bio-organic processed foods market.

French starch company Cerestar, recently taken over by US agribusiness giant Cargill, has launched a range of new organic sweeteners that target the bio-organic processed foods market.

Cerestar claims that the new ingredient, a liquid organic glucose syrup, can be applied in a variety of foods ranging from hard sweets to coffee whiteners and ice creams.

C*Bio-Sweet is derived from organically grown wheat sourced in Europe and manufactured according to EC council regulations on organic production.

Cerestar claims that C*Bio-Sweet can be used in a range of products to create 'glass' textures,reduce crystallisation, improve colour, brightness and body and to prolong shelf life.
