Salmonella in chili peppers
Canada: Canada Herb is recalling its branded fresh chili peppers due to possible Salmonella contamination.
Only fresh chili peppers imported by Canada Herb and sold from June 19 to July 5 are affected by the recall. It has been sold in clear plastic bags with the name Canada Her at retail level in Ontario.
The product may have been sold in bulk or in smaller packages with or without a label and may not bear the brand or product name.
The recall was triggered by CFIA test results, the investigating is continuing but no illnesses have been reported.
