US announces progress in new and existing markets
While the US was dealt a blow with the Russian ban, it also announced new trade agreements during the same month. The country saw its first shipment of chilled pork to Colombia, in what looks to be a market with huge potential according to the US Meat Export Federation. It also proposed relaxing its restrictions on Mexican pork, as well as beef imports from northern Argentina.
