Seven packaging specialists have come together to create the Barcelona Packaging Hub: an entity born to respond to larger and more complex projects for customers around the globe.

The seven members – Effytec Packaging, InvPack, Mengibar, Synchropack, United Barcode Systems, Volpack and Xolertic – say that bringing together their experience in the packaging industry can help guide customers across multiple needs, including packaging, boxing, coding, palletizing and wrapping lines. Another advantage is that this can all be done from the well-connected hub of Barcelona.

Furthermore, the collaboration will enable the members to share know-how and experience with each other, ultimately benefiting the customer, says the hub.

“The different companies that are part of the Hub are specialists in specific machinery,” explains the Barcelona Packaging Hub. “Thus, there are companies focused on horizontal machinery, stick-type packaging, fillers and cappers, end-of-line automation specialists, wrappers, companies focused on labeling, coding and marking, etc.”

Collectively, the group covers the food, pharmaceuticals and personal hygiene sectors, among others.

“The formation of the Hub not only favors the customer who seeks to buy a specialized packaging machine or solve a specific need around the packaging, but it is also beneficial for the partners that make up the entity,” continues the Hub.

“Thus, in addition to being part of the production chain for the Hub's incoming projects, the organization's members have the support and diffusion to reach differentiated targets, projecting, among all, a better and greater image of local packaging, attracting customers, opinion leaders and subsidies among others that favor the creation and consolidation of our own quality seal.”

BPH's strategy is to focus on different geographical areas on five continents, including potential countries such as France, the United States, Thailand, Mexico, Morocco and Dubai, among others.
