Violife is adding three new flavours to its alternative cheese portfolio: Le Rond Camembert Flavour, Tex Mex Flavour Graded and Mozzarella Flavour Slices.
Fortified with Vitamin B12, these vegan products are completely free from soya, gluten, lactose, nuts, preservatives and emulsifiers.
The expanded range makes for greater versatility, suggested the UK company. “As Le Rond can be cooked in whatever way people please – from being baked to fried – customers can get creative with their dishes and still be 100% confident that it is suitable for all,” said Senior Marking Manager Bianca Harris.
“Having recently ventured into plant-based butter and cream, we’re committed to continue innovating the Dairy Alternatives category, and new flavours like the Tex Mex Flavour Grated and Mozzarella Flavour Slices are part of our ongoing mission to provide customers with 100% vegan alternatives that can be enjoyed by everyone.”
The three new SKUs are available from Waitrose stores across the country. Le Rond Camembert Flavour Block has an RRP of £3. Tex Mex Flavour Grated and Mozzarella Flavour Slices both have an RRP of £2.65.

Acti-Snack, a better-for-you snacks brand hailing from Northern Ireland, has announced its foray into the breakfast category.
Two new plant-based granolas are launching into Ocado this month, with other retailers expected to follow.
The High Protein Peanut Butter Granola is made with 30% real peanut butter. Each serving contains 23% protein, and is a source of fibre, iron, magnesium and potassium.
The Keto Dark Choc Almond Granola taps into the carb-free trend. “Keto products are typically full of sweeteners as well as being at a steep price premium, but we have worked to keep the products natural and the price accessible to everyone,” said marketing director at parent company Kestrel Foods Bronagh Clarke.
Overall, the move into the breakfast market responds to demand for a fuel-packed morning to help consumers get through the day, the marketing director suggested.
“For many people, breakfast is the most important meal – a chance to fuel for the day ahead and pack in as much good nutrition as possible. Consumers are always telling us they want more choice – something packed with good honest ingredients and still tasting great to power them through the day.”
Clarke continued: “We set out to create granolas that were plant-based, high in protein and low in sugar without the use of artificial sweeteners. We worked with performance nutritionists and health minded consumers to hit the right mix of nutrients and to deliver a great tasting start to the day.”
The products have an RRP of £3.80.
Two new flavours have been added to Moth’s ready-to-drink cocktail range: Mojito and French 75.
Both are available in a larger 200ml can format with 10% ABV, compared to the brand’s existing 100-125ml serves with 14.9-20% ABV.
The Mojito offering is made from Duppy Share rum, mint, lime and soda. French 75 is characterised by Tarquin’s Cornish Gin, pink fizz and lemon.
The new SKUs take Moth’s cocktail range to six, alongside Negroni, Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned and Margarita.
“Since launching exclusively into Waitrose & Partner stores, the response has been overwhelmingly positive and we are hugely excited to introduce the latest addition to the range – the Mojito as well as the French 75 soon too,” explained Moth Drinks co-founder Rob Wallis. “We are constantly innovating so cocktail lovers can expect to hear more from us next year.”
Both new offerings have an RRP of £3.99.

A partnership between Made For Drink and English Heritage has resulted in a new range of Christmas potato crisps.
Flavours are designed to pay homage to England’s most passionate producers: they include English Truffle, Dorset Sea Salt, Malt Vinegar & Sea Salt, and Unseasoned Yorkshire Potato Crisps.
“We’ve all learnt what really matters over the past year and that has had an impact on the food wse are starting to enjoy again” said founder Dan Featherstone.
“In particular, a nostalgic return to the foods of the past, but also a surge in support for small, local producers. Our partnership with English Heritage celebrates all of this, and tells the wonderful stories behind many of our English food producers.
“While we are launching with Potato Crisps, there are many more fantastic products and stories to tell in the pipeline, keep watching this space.”
The Christmas crisps line is rolling out exclusively into Fortnum & Mason.
