Southern Turkey broiler chicken producer Pilyem Tavukçuluk San.Tic.A.S. has set up a new hatchery near Adana city center.

It has invested in Pas Reform’s state-of-the-art, integrated hatchery solutions to meet growing demand in domestic and export markets.

It is equipped with Pas Reform’s SmartSetPro setters, an incubation system and SmartHatchPro hatchers, a fully automated hatching system to produce day old chicks.

These will deliver an annual capacity of 50 million day-old chicks.

Pilyem ceo Bilgehan Kaplan said that the new hatchery is helping the business to achieve its growth plans.

“The new investment that we made in breeding and hatchery facilities has doubled our capacity and enabled us to increase our exports by 50%, while also meeting higher demand in our home market,” he said. “We are planning to grow our company by between eight and 10% in 2018.”

Sake Yalcin is chief executive officer of Refarm AS, Pas Reform’s representative in Turkey.

“Refarm and Pilyem have known each other and worked together for many years,” she said.

“Pilyem is achieving strong growth and we are truly proud to be supporting its ambitious future plans. We look forward to working with the company and providing ongoing service and support.”
