Scentium, a major flavours company based in Murcia, Spain has announced the opening of a new base in Ghana.

The new hub, in Ghana’s capital Accra, will be the company’s sixteenth site throughout the world and third in Africa.

“Our new office in Ghana is set to reinforce the long-term relation of the company with our clients from West Africa. This announcement consolidates our commitment to local customers and to the ones from neighbouring countries” said José Manuel Mateos, General Manager of Scentium.

Scentium said that the market in West Africa is growing, and that the population of Ghana and neighbouring states is increasing and inhabitants ever more prosperous.

Currently it provides flavouring to the food industry in over one hundred countries.

The Iberchem corporation, which owns Scentium, also produces perfume fragrances.
