Flowcrete UK is part of Flowcrete Group and the company produces a range of resin flooring solutions for a number of industries, including food and drink. It describes itself as a “world leader” in the design of seamless industrial and commercial flooring and has factories across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Africa.
Starting at Foodex in Birmingham on 18 April, the company will discuss aspects the food industry needs to be aware of to ensure flooring facilitates a clean working space. Flowcrete will also be present at the Sixth Annual European Food Safety & Quality Summit which is taking place in the Netherlands from 26 to 27 May.
‘Focus on hygiene’
Flowcrete is well-established in the food and drink industry. The company has designed the flooring for the UK’s wholesale butchery business C&K Meats. Some of its other notable clients include Nestlé, McVitie’s, Heineken and Kellogg’s.
“With today’s intense focus on hygiene within the food industry it is critical that facility designers, owners and operators choose building materials that they know will be up to the task at hand,” said Flowcrete UK managing director Kevin Potter.
“However, the complexity of the modern F&B industry can make this difficult – as the regulations that each system has to comply with can be extensive. We’ve developed a considerable amount of experience providing floors that actively work to minimise the risk of contamination and we’re taking this knowledge to these shows so that we can share it with food industry professionals.”
