Lab M has made a number of appointments which it says reflects continued growth as a supplier of culture media, supplements and microbiology products.

The microbiology media supplier has invested in its Research and Development (R&D), Quality Control (QC) and Sales teams.

Melanie Patterson joins the Lab M board as head of business development, bringing industry experience and knowledge of product management to develop products in a competitive and changing market

The company has expanded its export sales team and recruited am account manager covering the northern region of the UK.

Appointments in the Research and Development (R&D) and Quality Control (QC) teams will ensure development of new products and extension of existing ranges.

Ian Morris, Lab M’s managing director, said the appointments demonstrate how it wants to become the first port of call for microbiology products and expertise worldwide.

“More than 50% of our staff are now qualified to degree level or higher and we’re also supporting one of our R&D development scientists through their PhD.”
