Ecolab will launch foam cleaners from June as part of its rebrand of the products in Europe.

The Topaz foam cleaners have been added to its existing Topax and Topactive ranges as part of a move to revise its clean foaming system.

It has different applications and Open Plant Cleaning (OPC) capabilities which complement the Topax biocide products and the Topactive open surface cleaning and disinfectant range.

Foam cleaning

The firm described Topaz as neutral, chlorinated, alkaline and acid cleaners with improved cleaning compared to traditional foams.

When compared against its old range, the firm said the products showed an increase in degreasing performance, better foam stability, surface coverage, adhesion and cling time.

Ecolab said the range was designed in consultation with internal technical and application specialists and was extensively field tested.

To ensure the foam cleaning system functions consistently, the firm has introduced dispensing equipment.

This includes hybrid compact main stations and satellite systems to complement the boosters and mobile units.

Clean in place tech

Ecolab is also expanding availability of its 3D TRASAR CIP (Clean-in-Place) technology.

3D TRASAR CIP is a program that uses sensors, cleaning chemistries and analytical software to provide more visibility into critical factors that drive efficient, safe and effective CIP processes.

The firm said by reducing total cleaning time and reducing labor, production capacity can be increased.

The technology monitors critical parameters of CIP operations to detect system variances.

Ecolab then works with customers to determine the corrective actions needed to improve CIP operational efficiency, enhance productivity and help ensure safe food.

Nels Anderson, Ecolab global marketing platform leader for 3D TRASAR CIP, said food processing complexity results in large amounts of data that can be difficult to quickly act upon.

“The 3D TRASAR CIP program provides actionable insight into the corrective steps food and beverage processors can take to optimize cleaning processes and protect food quality.

“By pairing 3D TRASAR technology with Ecolab's analytical and service teams, we accelerate the ability for our customers to detect and correct CIP operational issues.”
