Italian flavour firm Variati Aromi to join Aromata Group
Milan-based flavour company Variati Aromi will become part of Aromata Group from the beginning of April, the firm has said.
Aromata Group has agreed to acquire 100% of Variati Aromi srl, a spin-off of the food activities of Variati srl, which will continue its business in the dietetic and cosmetic fields. Following the merger, Variati Aromi said it would continue production at its Concorezzo plant near Milan, with no change to its sales and development teams.
“This operation is part of a broader strategy to create an important player in the European Food Flavours market, with the objective to extend the offer of products and services and to further improve quality levels,” the company said in a statement.
Aromata Group is itself the result of a merger of two Milan-based flavour companies, Select Alimenta and Emans Derivati Aromatici.
