According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, the chairman of the PPA, Dr Muhammad Aslam, said the decision would help enhance investments in the sector and boost economic activities.
He said the agreement had been made following a visit to the country from a Saudi delegation. The delegation visited poultry farms, hatcheries and feed mills across Pakistan, and met with representatives from the PPA and government officials.
Aslam said the Saudi government had permitted chicken, hatching eggs and day-old chicks for export, so long as they meet the animal health standards as laid out by the World Organisation for Animal Health (OiE).
