Eurofins invests in pesticide testing
Eurofins Food Testing UK has bought a second Triple Quadrupole liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC/MS) system to increase capacity for pesticide residue testing.
The Wolverhampton-based lab said it enables them to analyse hundreds of compounds at a faster rate.
With extra column switching options enabling multiple methods to be run within one analytical sequence, the system will provide additional capacity for the testing.
This will benefit customers in the fresh produce industry where results are often required within hours to maximise shelf life, said Eurofins.
