Marks & Spencer's recall mussels linked to illnesses
Marks & Spencer has recalled three branded mussel-based products as part of investigations of illnesses in the UK.
All date codes of M&S – Mussels in Garlic (unique code: 00604819 and 00929189) Mussels in White Wine (unique code: 00720618) and Mussels and Clams (unique code: 00667104) are affected.
Marks & Spencer said as a precaution it has removed from sale the products while investigations are conducted with its supplier, which was not named.
Customers should not consume these products and can return them to their nearest store where a full refund will be given.
“Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks & Spencer and we take all issues regarding the production of our food extremely seriously,” said the firm.
