The firm said it was a preventive measure following a detection identified internally based on laboratory analysis.
Colabor said the recall is complete and no illnesses have been reported.
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said the products had been sold to hotels, restaurants, institutions and daycare facilities in Quebec.
The recall concerns around thirty customers served by the Eastern Quebec and Maritimes Division (EQM) and involved production of 425kg of ground meat by Lauzon Meats.
“Colabor has a rigorous prevention process to avoid the spreading of bacteria through laboratory testing which is in place in all of their facilities. The process allowed taking the necessary measures to rapidly stop production, to make the recall and eliminate the cause,” said a statement.
