Mérieux NutriSciences to get a closer look with food lab in Mexico

Mérieux NutriSciences has opened a lab in Querétaro, Mexico for microbiology and analytical testing.

The lab features analytical chemistry capabilities underscored by investment in LC, HPLC, GC and ICP instrumentation, nutritional chemistry testing for composition and nutritional labelling.

It also has increased profile of chemistry testing methods providing low detection limits for chemical contaminants and DNA based technology with Real Time PCR and molecular biology techniques.

Silliker, a Mérieux NutriSciences company, said the lab would join the two other labs in Guadalajara and Mexico City

More than 150 industry professionals in food, academia and government are expected to participate in scientific forums and lab tours at the 1300m² facility.

“Providing clients with scientific services for all their food testing needs exemplifies our commitment to delivering practical and innovative solutions throughout the food supply chain,” said Erwan Gilet, managing director for Silliker Mexico.
