SGS boosts presence in “growing” UK market
SGS has strengthened its environmental and industrial operations in the UK, describing the market as “very important” and predicted future growth in the region.
SGS acquired MIS Environmental and MIS Testing, based in Consett with offices in Manchester and Livingston.
MIS Environmental is a laboratory offering experience in environmental and health and safety testing and consultancy services. The firm employs 72 staff and is expected to generate 2013 revenues of £ 4.2m.
MIS Testing is amechanical and material testing laboratory offering a range of mechanical testing including machining service and non-destructive testing (radiography, magnetic particle, ultrasonic).
It employs 55 experts and is expected to generate 2013 revenues of £ 3.7m.
