The two-day conference in Spain, co-organised by ainia centro tecnológico, involved 25 lectures and representatives from more than 20 countries.
It focussed on the latest developments in hygienic equipment and factory design, the layout of a hygienic process environment and the use of construction materials, advanced welding technology, EHEDG test methods and certification and new trends in cleaning and disinfection.
The next opportunity for participating will be the EHEDG World Congress on Hygienic Engineering & Design from 23-24 October 2014 in Parma/Italy.
EHEDG is a consortium of equipment manufacturers, food industries, research institutes and public health authorities with the aim of promoting hygiene during the processing and packaging of food products.
