SGS acquires the Ware Care Group
SGS announced today (Monday) that it has acquired the Ware Care Group, based in The Netherlands for an undisclosed amount.

Ware Care is a provider of Integrated Pest Management services (IPM) and fumigation services.

The firm works in hygiene inspection, risk assessment, monitoring and pest management programs as well as fumigation, operating mainly along the food supply chain.

Founded in 1992 and privately owned, Ware Care employs 29 specialists and is expected to generate 2012 revenues in excess of €3.2m.

"I am pleased with this acquisition as it extends our Agricultural Services' offering in the Netherlands and will consolidate our leadership in the Benelux​," said Chris Kirk, CEO of SGS.

SGS, headquartered in Switzerland, offers inspection, verification, testing and certification to optimise food safety and quality control.
