FACET risk management for additives, flavourings, contact materials
A new risk management tool for flavouring substances, additives and food contact materials is due to be completed in the coming weeks, drawing together data on food chemical occurrence, concentration and food intake, says Dr Tracy McCrorie of the University of Ulster.

McCrorie, who worked on the project alongside Professor Mike Gibney at University College Dublin, spoke to FoodNavigator about the project - and the importance of industry involvement - on the sidelines of EFSA's tenth anniversary risk assessment conference in Parma this week.

More information on the project is available online here, and the software will be accessible here.
