Companies that were part of the National Starch group of companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa have taken on the Ingredion brand from this month, following the official renaming in the United States in June.

Ingredion is the new global business brand for Corn Products International, which acquired National Starch in October 2010.

Corn Products UK Limited will become Ingredion UK Limited, National Starch & Chemical GmbH will become Ingredion Germany GmbH and CPI Ingredients South Africa (Proprietary) Limited will become Ingredion South Africa Pty Limited, the company said.

“Our new name, Ingredion, better reflects our global presence and focus on ingredient solutions,” said Ilene Gordon, chairman, president and CEO of Ingredion Incorporated.
