Dutch slaughter line supplier NAWI has signed a strategic co-operation contract with Nijhuis Warer Technology to provide efficient abattoir solutions to the international meat market.

Nijhuis Water managing director Frank Tillmann said: “Nowadays, companies that install a new slaughter line will also require a water treatment system. What’s more, many companies want to know whether they can create value from their waste streams, for instance by installing a biogas system.”

“For us this means expanding the product range to enable us to offer more complete solutions and to optimise the existing sales and service channels further. By combining knowledge and expertise we will be able to serve the international market in a much better way,” added Stephan Toxopeüs, managing director of NAWI.

Both companies hope the co-operation will lead to global coverage.

Nijhuis Water Technology supplies sustainable solutions in the fields of wastewater, sludge and manure treatment. NAWI produces slaughter lines, cutting lines and logistic solutions, including warehousing, for the food industry.
