Heather Mills firm wins ethical award

The Good Shopping Guide said that Mills' firm was the most ethical is the UK

Veggie food firm Redwood Wholefood Company, owned by Heather Mills, is the most ethical vegetarian food business in the UK, according to The Good Shopping Guide.

Paul McCartney’s ex-wife’s firm, which produces over 50 different “cruelty-free foods” under the Cheatin’, Cheezly and Vegideli brands, topped the list with a score of 96%.

Redwood beat other brands such as Linda McCartney, Realeat, Cauldron and Quorn to the title and was praised for producing “genuinely innovative vegetarian and vegan products”.

Top of the class

Nigel Phillips, Redwood’s md said: “I am delighted to be heading up such and ethical company. Although we are at the top of the class we are not going to sit back but continue to move forward with the aim of getting that 100% spot.”

All Redwood foods are made from 100% natural plant-based ingredients and are free from animal products/derivatives, cholesterol, artificial colours, hydrogenated fats and genetically modified organisms, the firm revealed.
