Evolva proposes ingredients experts for board
The board of the Swiss company developing production of steviol glycosides by fermentation has proposed two new members, both with a background in food ingredients.
With the board term of Ms. Ingelise Saunders expiring at the company’s AGM on 18 May, Dr. Stuart Strathdee and Dr. Ganesh Kishore have been proposed for election.
Both have a background of working with sweeteners. Dr Kishore previously worked at Monsanto and DuPont, and was involved in the development of aspartame; while Dr Strathdee held senior management positions at sucralose giant Tate & Lyle.
Both are current members of the Board of Directors of Abunda Nutrition, which Evolva is acquiring. Their election will be subject to the closing of the acquisition of Abunda, expected to be in late Q2 or early Q3, 2011.
