Regulatory consultant Cantox is planning a seminar on key changes to regulations on food ingredients and additives in the EU, including the update on novel foods regulation.

The last year has seen some key changes in the legislative landscape for food ingredients and additives in the EU. Novel foods regulation is set to be revised to help speed the process in the interests of competition, and to take account of new technologies like nanotechnology.

Moreover the new FIAP package on food additives means that enzyme approvals are harmonised for the EU for first time.

The seminar is intended to guide companies through the changes, and help attendees understand how to deal with them.

It will take place on 13 October at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Brussels. More information is available at www.cantox.com.
