A new slicer can stack, offset stack, fan, shave and portion foods
while allowing manufacturers to select a range of special shapes as
a means of marketing their products.

Treif Maschinenbau's Divider 600 vario comes equipped with a motif designer, giving the operator the opportunity to preset slicing designs for the products. Designs can vary from classic round portions sizes to letters or numerals.

The Divider is equipped with a feeder and is compatible with all standard packaging lines. An optional checkweigher allows the slicer to cut equal portions for packaging.

Treif also presented two other slicers at Anuga FoodTec held in Cologne earlier this month. The Divider 400+ has a capacity of up to 1,600 slices per minute. It is designed to be used in small spaces.

The company's Divider 800 models are automatic loading. The modular design allows manufacturers to achieve a more efficient configuration with the checkweigher, the company claimed.

The machine has a sorting belt and loader, and a slicing capacity of up to 3,200 slices per minute.

The company's Raptor slicer is for meats and features fully automatic feeding. The maximum hourly output is 4.4 tonnes when cutting cubes and strips. The Twister version can reach up to 3.6 tonnes per hour and can be equipped with a lifter for loading.

The new Argon dicer processes up to 2.3 tonnes per hour while remaining compact. To achieve packaging units or bulk packages of a specified weight, the Argon and the Twister can be equipped with a scale.

The company also displayed its Falcon machine for portioning precise quantities of products with and without bones by weight. The machine's deviation from the target weight is about five per cent, the company claimed.
