Cargill shows latest ingredients at Fi Europe
showcasing its latest innovations in branded ingredients and
applications during Fi Europe 2003. The event, which is Europe's
largest gathering of international ingredients suppliers with food
producers and manufacturers opened its doors on Tuesday in
Frankfurt, Germany and closes today.

Earlier on in the year Cargill H&FT announced expanded marketing rights of its Ascend brand of trehalose in Europe. Ascend trehalose, a sugar made from cornstarch, will be demonstrated in a chai tea prototype.
"Ascend trehalose is well known for its ability to stabilise proteins and enhance flavours. Cargill's Ascend brand of trehalose has a clean, mildly sweet flavour making it ideal for a variety of food applications," said Jim Kappas, director, International and Emerging Products, Cargill H&FT.
"Cargill H&FT is pleased to be a part of Fi Europe again. This is always an important opportunity for us to introduce our latest innovations to the European market," said Steve Snyder, Cargill H&FT, vice president of sales and marketing.
In addition to trehalose, Cargill H&FT will also showcase products targeted to heart health - CoroWise phytosterols and products targeted to women's health - soy isoflavones.
