Keeping abreast of food legislation is of paramount importance for

Keeping abreast of food legislation is of paramount importance for food manufacturers, but regular amendments mean this can also be a challenge.

UK-based Food Knowledge & Know-how (FKK)​ is organising a seminar entitled 'Keeping within the law' to advise SMEs on how tokeep up with the requirements of current food legislation.

The seminar will tackle a wide range of issues including food safety, food composition and labelling, and weights and measures.

Lined-up to speak are Dr David Jukes from the University of Reading who will discuss the law relating to food and food safety, Pat Kelleher from Slough Borough Council who will analyse the roles of an Environmental Health Officer and Trading Standards Officer and Gill Palmer at Select QA who will investigate food safety issues, including personal hygiene, temperature control and cleaning and disinfection.

The one day seminar will take place in Reading, UK on 2 July 2003.
