Australian company Bonlac Foods is to enter into a joint venture with Japanese firm Imanaka to manufacture chocolate and sugar blended products at Dandenong, reports IndustrySearch.com.
According to the report, the new company, Australian Dairy Blends, will be a 50/50 partnership and will sell its products to established markets in Australia and in Japan.
Imanaka has been Bonlac's agent in Japan for more than 30 years and will continue to market Australian Dairy Blends there exclusively. As part of the deal, Bonlac is transferring land and manufacturing equipment at Dandenong to the new premises.
