RPC Containers Corby, the UK-based packaging supplier is supplying its newly launched 1.2 litre Sapphire catering jar to leading Italian food manufacturer F. Ili Saclà, for its "Food Service" range of premium pesto and pasta sauces.
Part of RPC Corby's extensive range of multi-layer foodservice containers, the Sapphire jar is a proven design offering several key benefits to both food manufacturers and caterers. It can withstand the high temperatures of the hot fill and pasteurisation processes and provides long ambient shelf life for products, while its lightweight, shatter proof construction makes it ideal for busy kitchen and foodservice environments.
The jars are also available in 2.2 and 2.5 litre sizes, with a 3 litre currently under development. The unique shape with an offset neck and - on the larger sizes - moulded handgrip, allows ease in pouring and handling. A wide 80mm neck enables product to be spooned out if required. A special high gloss polypropylene for the outer layer provides maximum contact clarity for enhanced shelf presentation.
The jar also features an 80mm single start induction heat seal closure, manufactured by RPC Halstead.
