Flavour company Quest International has introduced a new range of texture concepts and recipes for the food service industry

Flavour company Quest International has introduced a new range of texture concepts and recipes for the food service industry.

Called Myvatex Mighty, the new products are suitable for both sweet and savoury product creations. The Myvatex dry mix powders are mixed with water, cream, juice or yoghurt to obtain a variety of textures or products, from a chocolate mousse, spread or a pudding to a savoury dip or vegetable pâté.

Dr Steve Bodicoat, of Quest Food stated: "We've developed these two new Myvatex powders to answer the increasing needs of the food service specialist who wants to create a variety of food products with minimum inventory, at speed in restricted working space or with limited equipment. "

"Our product trials have shown the product will work directly in cold processing situations and is also heat stable. We already have trial orders with some processors who supply into the food service channels and feedback so far has been very encouraging," said Quest dairy specialist Neil Bourke.
