Starting early next year, Nestle will launch a wide-ranging restructuring to start in Switzerland, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Malaysia and Singapore, where the group management wants to review the working and the administration of the company through new technologies and Internet. The objective of Peter Brabeck-Letmathe is to transform the Swiss giant into a "modern network", which would replace the current "federation of kingdoms". 1,500 people will be working on this project, representing an SFF3bn investment, and which should yield an SFF3bn savings starting 2006.
