In December the International Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Allianceelected new officers for 2001. Serving on the executive committee are: DonDalton, U.S. Poultry & Egg Association ? chairman Rosemary Mucklow,National Meat Association - vice chairman Kim Rice, American MeatInstitute ? treasurer Joe Harris, Southwest Meat Association ?secretary Rita Fullem, Food Processors Institute - large position LeonRussell, American Veterinary Medical Association - large position SteveKrut, American Association of Meat Processors - past chairman. The International HACCP Alliance was developed in 1994 as a proactive step toassist the meat and poultry industry in preparing for mandatory HACCP. TheAlliance is housed within the Department of Animal Science at Texas A&MUniversity.
