Finnish food maker Raisio has entered into a strategic alliance with Italian gluten-free specialist Dr. Schär in a deal the companies believe will open new avenues for speciality innovation.
Finnish supplier Raisio has turned in a bumper half-year with earnings before interest, tax and depreciation (EBIT) surging from €10.3m to €16.2m – a 73% rise.
Finnish feed, food and ingredients giant Raisio Group has reported
a return to the black and increased turnover in a year of change
that saw it gain greater control over its activities - particularly
in its ingredients division.

Raisio has opened up its first production facility in Russia.
Located just outside Moscow, The Finland-based company says it is
hoping that the move will help it to expand its margarine portfolio
in Russia and neighbouring states.
