Strict rules banning adverts for high in fat, salt and sugar products in all children’s media come into effect tomorrow (Saturday 1 July), after numerous health campaigners called for tougher regulations.
New supply chain regulations designed to beef up the ‘farm to fork’ traceability of cattle, sheep and goats sent to slaughter will come into force in the UK from the beginning of next year.
From 25 November, the new rules, introduced by EC Directive
89/2003, will require pre-packed foods sold in the European Union
to show clearly on the label if they contain any of 12 listed
allergenic foods as an ingredient.
