Brazil is continuing to grow its pork exports and even the recent meat corruption scandal had little to no impact on rising volume trade, Rabobank has claimed.
Ukraine’s ban on Brazilian pork imports is likely to lead to a shortage of meat on the domestic market, as well as a jump in prices, industry experts and producers have predicted.
Russia has reclaimed its place as the first importer of Brazilian pork, representing 29.15% of the country’s exports in April, according to the Brazilian Association of Pork Producers and Exporters (ABIPECS).
