A pledge outlining 25 actions to help reduce the need for antibiotics in animals has been proposed by a body representing Europe’s leading manufacturers of animal medicines.
The Alliance to Save our Antibiotics has called for an EU ban on routine antibiotic use in poultry, but conceded this may not be enough to protect public health.
