Eagle Product Inspection: The Vision to See Beyond Detection

Eagle Product Inspection is a global leader in advanced x-ray inspection technology, providing high quality machines, technical expertise and world-class service support to enable meat manufacturers and processors to protect their reputations, brands and customers.

With its headquarters in Tampa, Florida, and local offices across the globe, Eagle Product Inspection machines meet today’s Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP) certification requirements.

Specialized Services for Meat Manufacturers and Processors include:

Fat Analysis

Eagle’s 100% inline fat analysis system provides a non-invasive, precise and repeatable technique for accurate fat analysis, helping meat manufacturers to avoid fat claims and lean meat giveaway.  Using innovative dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA), it precisely measures Chemical Lean (CL) values within +/- 1CL and simultaneously measures weight and inspects for contaminants.

Packaged Products

Eagle’s x-ray inspection systems evaluate in process and finished products for contaminants such as metal, glass, stone and bone while also having the ability to check mass and evaluate compartmentalized fill level. Some of these systems incorporate Material Discrimination X-ray (MDX) technology. MDX discriminates materials by chemical composition, allowing the detection and rejection of difficult-to-detect inorganic contaminants such as small glass shards, rocks, rubber and plastic.

Bulk Products

As well as inspection for individual packaged products of a range of sizes, Eagle offers systems specifically designed for bulk product applications. Bulk systems are available in conveyorized or pipeline models and are equipped with multiple inspection capabilities.

Rigid Container

These systems overcome the specific inspection challenges presented by rigid containers, such as blind spots and glass-in-glass contamination. The Eagle Tall can be installed over an existing conveyor line, eliminating the need for costly line modifications, while the Eagle Quad View uses four separate views to ensure complete inspection of the container, eliminating blind spots.

Eagle’s proprietary SimulTask™ image analysis software simplifies product set-up to facilitate changeover, reduce downtime and impart flexibility on the product inspection process. The software provides easy-to-access statistics and reports on inspected products, enhancing traceability throughout each step of the production line.
