Macaroon ice cream ‘with a Parisian touch’
Ice cream maker Häagen-Dazs and French pastry chef Pierre Hermé are collaborating to bring a range of macaron ice cream products to shelves in the UK and France.
The partners have described the collaboration, which sees mini macaroons mixed into Häagen-Dazs’ ice cream, as a ‘love story between ice cream and macaroon, with a Parisian Touch’.
The range includes three different flavours of ice cream: strawberry and raspberry, double chocolate ganache, and yuzu and lemon.
Pierre Hermé said he was enthusiastic and proud about the collaboration. “For 20 years, I have been constantly creating and reinterpreting my macaroon recipes, it is my favourite creative ground. My macaroon recipes, it is my favourite creative ground.
“My macaroons are my identity, so to put them in ice cream, I had to work with the best. Häagen-Dazs is just as passionate as I am about quality, taste and creating new products, so the collaboration was established from the first bite.”
First launching into the UK and France this month, the collection will be available in Europe, Asia, Latin America, the US, and the Middle East in spring-summer.
