Craft beer with an aromatic saffron twist
The UK’s Tcket has launched an alcohol-free beer infused with saffron.
According to the company, the rise of an “increasingly vocal ‘sober-curious’ community has been instrumental in the rising popularity of low/no drinks, especially beer where it’s become increasingly difficult to differentiate a beautifully balanced low/no craft beer from its everyday alcoholic peers”. It said it chose to innovate with saffron, universally recognised as the world’s most highly-prized spice, thanks to its “time-honoured reputation for energizing mind and body”.
It said: “Persian cuisine is globally admired for its trail-blazing ways and so perhaps the next flavourful twist within the alternative beer fixture will be t-cket; a functional spice-infused vegan beer made in Ripon to a treasured 20-year family recipe where all-natural, best-in-class aromatic saffron meets floor-malted barley.”
