Organic hemp-based meat alternative
France-based Hello Joya has launched an organic hemp-based meat alternative.
The company called the innovation “an excellent alternative to meat that allows you to fill up on vegetable proteins without neglecting taste”.
The Hello Joya vegetable slices are made from organic hemp seeds and proteins and grown in France.
The company claimed hemp is gradually establishing itself as a key ingredient in our future diet. Considered a "super-food" thanks to its contributions in omega 3 and minerals, it also boasts environmental benefits. The plant is resilient, very resistant to drought, requires little water and does not require fertilizers or chemicals to grow, the company said.
