Plant-based food delivery serves up vegan Sunday roast
Plant-based frozen food delivery business allplants has developed a Feast Box for customers in the UK.
According to the brand, one-third of Brits under 34 years would be open to replacing meat with a vegan option, and only 27% say meat is the best part of a Sunday Roast – with roast potatoes coming out on top.
Its two-course dinner, which responds to growing demand for plant-based offerings, includes two walnut and cranberry loaves, cranberry sauce, and six sides such as crispy roast potatoes and spiced red cabbage.
With an RRP of £49.99, customers can choose to add a Tiramisu Cheesecake or a Sticky Banoffee Pudding for £12.50 per serving.
“People aren’t eating Sunday roasts the way they used to. There’s an influx of flexitarian eaters, looking for more plant-based roasts and that means far more time and effort for the Sunday or Christmas cook,” said allplants founder Jonathan Petrides.
“Recreating Britain’s most loved family dish aligns perfectly with our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to a plant-based future – that’s tantalisingly delicious and easy for all.”
