Online network BEEsharing is launching a line of honey that, it says, can be traced back to flowers.
The range will include ‘German favourites’: urban, rapeseed, forest and blossom honey.
The natural product is analysed by independent labs to authenticate origin. The company ‘relies on transparency’ to prove its quality promise. Using a QR code on the honey jar, buyers can learn about the supply chain, production routes and lab testing, SEEsharing explained.
The company’s transparent supply chains make it possible to buy locally produced honey. BEEsharing works with small and medium-sized beekeepers and guarantees German beekeepers a ‘fair’ price.
The four varieties of German honey from BEEsharing are now available in 500 food markets such as Edeka, health food shops and the organic retailers. They are can also be purchased online.
