Engineered nutrition - Soylent launches powder in UK
US engineered nutrition group Soylent is launching its original powder product in the UK.
One portion of the powder, which is mixed with water for a nutrition drink, provides 20 grams of protein and 36 essential vitamins and minerals.
Announcing the move, the company stressed it is an “easy to prepare” meal replacement, which provides “maximum nutrition with minimum effort”. Soylent is targeting “meal voids” with a convenient solution that also has a positive impact on health and well-being.
The Silicon Valley product is now available to buy from Amazon UK in both original and cocoa flavours for £24 per back of two 425 g pouches. Each pouch contains five meals, equating to £2.40 per meal.
Soylent powder joins Soylent's ready-to-drink meal in a bottle offering, which was launched in the UK in September.
The powders are vegan and nut-free. Non-dairy ingredients include isolated protein from soy.
