Sudan IV in palm oil
England: Surya Foods is recalling palm oil as it contain the illegal dye Sudan IV, which is potentially genotoxic and carcinogenic.
Sudan dyes are red dyes used in industrial applications and cannot be used in foods.
Mother Africa Pure Red Palm Oil 2L date 1 April 2020 and batch VT261017A and Mother Africa Zomi Palm Oil 1L date 1 June 2020 and batch VT 171117SZ are affected.
