Marketpoint Recall has partnered with The Acheson Group (TAG) to minimize damage from product recalls.

Marketpoint Recall and TAG will assist companies before, during and after a crisis.

They will provide organizations with response support, consulting and a team to navigate the process.

TAG is a food and beverage safety consulting company that assists farms, retail and food service firms worldwide.

The Marketpoint Recall team guides businesses through a recall process.

The number of FDA warning letters, the majority issued to food and beverage companies, jumped from 1,720 to more than 14,000 between 2011 and 2016, according to FDA annual enforcement data​.

Marketpoint Recall and TAG said product recalls can be one of the most detrimental events for a company and can carry overwhelming consequences for its customers and the brand.

The firms added the common factor was not being ready.

They urged companies to be proactive to avoid such incidents and be prepared to respond immediately to reduce impact.

Peter Gillett, CEO of Marketpoint Recall, said the firms can prepare businesses, allowing them to react quickly and efficiently when a recall strikes.
