Milk in dairy free yogurt
UK: CO YO is recalling chilled dairy-free coconut milk yogurt due to undeclared milk.
Traces of milk have been found in a supplied ingredient which may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers allergic to or intolerant of milk.
UK was the product origin and distribution also included Ireland and Switzerland.
All pack sizes and flavours with use by 23-2-18 and batch codes 180115, 180116, 180118, 180119; use by 2-3-18 and codes 180122, 180123, 180124, 180125, 180126; use by 9-3-18 and codes 180130, 180131, 180201, 180202 and use by 16-3-18 with codes 180205, 180206, 180207, 180208, 180209 are affected.
The company said any products beyond these dates are tested and are safe to consume.
"During recent product testing, a small amount of dairy has been found in our COYO yoghurts.
"We’ve carried out a thorough review of our ingredients and we have identified that the contaminated material was provided to us by an external third-party supplier. We have also terminated our relationship with the third-party supplier to ensure that this never happens again."
