Food Safety Recall round-up 16-22 February 2018
Plastic in ketchup
England: Booker is recalling Happy Shopper Tomato Ketchup because it may contain pieces of plastic.
The 440g product has best before March 2019 and batch code 7269. It is sold in some Londis and Budgens stores.
Presence of plastic makes the product unsafe to eat and presents a safety risk.
"We are taking the precautionary step of recalling some of our Happy Shopper Tomato Ketchup with the batch code indicated below due to possibility of plastic contamination," said the company.
"We are asking all customers who have this batch not to consume it. Please return it for a full refund.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience caused to our customers."
