High aflatoxin level in figs
Belgium: 2VD SPRL has recalled dried figs due to high aflatoxin levels.
Following a control by L’AFSCA, the firm recalled Figues Seches Layers 500g of the brand Brousse Vergez with date 31/10/2018 and lot 090020881-11-362.
It was sold from 6 November 2017 to 19 January 2018 in Cora supermarkets.
Aflatoxins (B1 = 13; Total = 31 µg/kg - ppb) were found in the dried figs from France and also distributed to Luxembourg, according to the RASFF portal.
